Synopsis

Accession is a poetic short film on the borderland between everyday realism and magic. Caroline mourns her recently deceased father and seeks comfort in her friend Alice. After a quarrel, Alice runs out into the night and, to her surprise, encounters Caroline’s dead father in a cabin in the woods. Through their conversation, themes of grief, friendship, and loss are woven into a story about reconciliation and what it truly means to be human. The film is accompanied by newly recorded music from the cult-acclaimed folk punk band Days’N’Daze, whose raw energy amplifies the emotional intensity.
A gripping, visually powerful cinematic experience, described as a combination of Alice in Wonderland and everyday anxiety. The film explores how we find meaning and strength in an encounter between life and death.
