Synopsis
During lunch, an argument breaks out in a small village in Switzerland. It is the year 1970 and the substance of the dispute is the planned vote for women’s suffrage. For almost 80 years, women have been campaigning for equal rights. Up to now, they have not been successful, which Claudia, the eldest daughter of the Volkenbach family, finds to be an indictment. She argues with her mother, Ursula, who is clearly against women’s suffrage. A heated discussion breaks out between the two, during which lunch is also affected.
