Synopsis
The eighty-year-old actress Libgart Schwarz (played by herself) suddenly loses her language while rehearsing for a film version of the play „Kaspar“. The play is based on the historic figure of Kaspar Hauser, a young man who grew up locked in a room with no social contact or education. The protagonist of the play, though, is language and deconstruction of naturalistic narration.
Amina Handke’s first feature-length film transforms her Father’s play into an absurd and partly very funny babylonian confusion with her mother as the protagonist.
