Director Biography – Chengrui Zhang
Zhang Chengrui was born in Changsha, Hunan Province, China, and is currently studying at Beihai Arts and Design College. During this period, in 2023, his film and screenplay work “Whale Yu” won the First Prize in the Future Designer Microfilm Unit of Guangxi Province, as well as the Second Prize in the national finals of other comprehensive competitions. In October 2023, his directorial and screenplay short film “Stray Dog No Longer Stray” was nominated for Best Art at the K.O Short Film Creation Competition (continuing to participate). In May 2024, he completed the short film “On the Southernmost Prairie”. During his university years, he became involved in the film and television industry and began to conceive ideas for creating good films, continuously participating in the process of shooting short films on and off campus.
