Synopsis
Set in a fictional small town, this film unfolds as a fable of fate and morality. A blind girl endures hostility and prejudice from the townspeople, facing ridicule and cruelty. Then, a mysterious supernatural event occurs—the sun ceases to set. As daylight lingers unnaturally, the unsetting sun reveals its silent will, enacting karmic retribution upon her tormentors and leading them toward an inescapable tragedy.
Director Biography – Yuwei Zhang
Yuwei Zhang is a filmmaker based in Los Angeles and holds an MFA in Narrative Directing from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). With a background in cognitive science and visual arts, she is passionate about integrating interdisciplinary elements—such as psychology, anthropology, and mixed-media art—into her filmmaking practice. Her works often strip reality down to its essence, creating minimalist yet profound worlds that invite audiences to immerse themselves in the characters’ internal struggles while contemplating the absurdity of reality.
