Synopsis
The artist Ewa becomes pregnant unintentionally, but the restrictive abortion law in Poland leaves her no choice. When her family also turns against her, Ewa makes a difficult decision.
Poland 2023. Ewa is determined to pursue a career as an artist now that her son Jakub is about to start school. She is invited to an interview at the renowned art academy in Szczecin.
In a country where abortion is forbidden by law, she finds out about her accidental pregnancy. In order to meet the expectations of her family and the social pressure, she keeps her condition a secret for the time being. She secretly travels to Germany, but even here she cannot be helped immediately for legal reasons. The conflict with her husband Tomasz also escalates when he finally finds out about her secret plans. In her final desperation, Ewa has to make a momentous decision.
