Synopsis
A lyric portrait of artist and performer Courtney Desiree Morris asks what the queer imagination makes possible in the face of erasure.
Scored by Haitian American composer Joel St. Julien, the film moves through intimate studio footage, photographic montage, and large-scale performance, drawing on Morris’s work in Jamaica, Nicaragua, and Louisiana—including her exhibition at the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts, where Black queer women and sex workers were anointed in 50 gallons of organic honey.
