Synopsis
Valentin is a bitter PE teacher, who hasn’t been dealt the best hand in life. One day, driven by his ego and a desire for revenge, he accepts an offer from the ebullient Maïa to train a Torball team. This challenge sparks a shift in Valentin’s perspective… because Torball is a sport for the visually impaired..

Director Biography – Béryl Coutat
Béryl Coutat is an author, director, actress, and acting coach, known for her distinctive visual approach and captivating storytelling. She has directed eight short films, including A Woman Revenge, which won the Tarantino Prize and was broadcast on Canal Plus. Her other works include Speed Dating, 69, and Kissa Mi Lé, all of which were featured in festivals and distributed by La Kourtmétragerie.
More recently, her film Tord Balle was shown on Canal Plus Réunion. Béryl has also directed short TV series, music videos, and appeared in several productions for OCS and France Télévisions.
Her style is characterized by a strong visual identity, marked by vibrant colors and creative freedom. Whether behind or in front of the camera, her work explores rich themes, aimed at inspiring the audience to let go, deal with emotions, and start a reflection.
In 2024, Béryl will present Ceci n’est pas un film de Noël, a 52-minutes TV drama, produced by Kissiprod.Sipik and aired on Canal Plus. Among her upcoming projects are the sequel to this drama and her first feature film, both focused on self-discovery and love.
